Packing for a weekend is never easy - especially for a special occassion. Pairing my favorite baubles and new cocktail dresses together make the process a bit easier. I plan on doning this lavender pleated backless dress with a piece crafted by my favorite local jewelry designer to stand out and a combination of vintage and real mother-of-pearls for a classic look.

Lately, I've been inspired to try new things. Like, to purchase canvas and create a personal painting for my living room and find unique ways to decorate an everyday object - like a wine bottle. And although spring seems ages away, I went ahead and invested in a full-pleated dress in a soft lilac hue that can be worn at a romantic wedding this fall, and later in the warmer seasons. As for beauty, a warm red lip and simple eyes seem to do the trick. What have you been inspired by lately? Do share.

From sturdy leather lace-ups to lush velvet, booties are the top shoes of the season.
