NYE COUNTDOWN: Top Blogs of 2011

2011 is nearly over...and with the sudden realization that I need to start writing down my top resolutions and wishes for the coming year, I first want to recall a few of my favorite things that inspired me to get to where I am today.

And what better way to start than with my "Top Bloggers of 2011." (disclosure: This list is not necessarily comprised on  number of followers or overall popularity, but the top bloggers that inspired me this year.) From fashionistas to foodies, it seems that 2011 was an incredible year for bloggers. And the year that I decided to officially start my own. Cheers to these inspiring blogs and the creative entrepreneurs behind them:

#5: Cupcakes and Cashmere

Without a doubt, Emily Schumann of Cupcakes and Cashmere is one of the most influential bloggers of the year. With a combination of easy-to-create sweet treat recipes and chic everyday ensembles, Emily has mastered the art of balance when it comes to blogging. The "Top 5 Favorites" of the week showcase her love of fashion, food and her knack for interior decorating. Daily outfit posts are always pulled together perfectly and with a variety of price point pieces that are always swoon-worthy. Inspired by her overall chic outlook on life, Emily has been the greatest inspirational source for my own passion for style and desire to start blogging.

#4: Sterling Style

The mastermind behind this year's up-and-coming website, Glitter Guide, and a source for all things that sparkle, Taylor Sterling of Sterling Style easily become one of my daily inspirational blog reads this year. Her cool, California style and affinity for pulling together the perfect amount of color, shine (and sequins) is always inspiring and relate-able. Plus, her entrepreneurial drive and spirit for all things stylish makes Taylor an easy choice as an inspiration to my own personal, professional and fashion-oriented goals.

#3: This Time Tomorrow

This blogger made my inspiration list first-and-foremost because she recently was named a winner for a styling contest by Rachel Zoe. That is a mah-jor honor, if I do say so. But really, Krystal Bick of This Time Tomorrow is a career woman in the fashion industry that also manages to share her daily outfits (that are quite fabulous) for office attire! Inspired by her sense of working-girl-style and her always chic ensembles is why she is one of my favorite bloggers of 2011.

#2: Sequins and Stripes

A new blogger on the scene, with an obvious love for both sequins and stripes, Liz Schneider of Sequins and Stripes became a favorite read for several reasons. Reason #1, this newbie to the blogging world quickly garnered a large following and inspired me to start from the bottom as well. Reason #2, the blog is always filled with affordable pieces from brands that can be found in every girl's closet i.e. J. Crew and Ralph Lauren. Who says a budget isn't chic? I predict that this blog will take off in the coming year!

#1: Saucy Glossie

And my top blogger of 2011 is...Lindsay Calla! This personal style blogger always goes above and beyond with incredible daily outfit posts with fashions that range from designer to discount. Not just a blogger, Lindsay is also a 'Maxxinista' or the latest fashion-girl for T.J Maxx. Her always chic style (on a budget!) and hugely successful career as a woman in the blogging and fashion industry makes her my top choice for this year's blogroll countdown.

Who are the fashion bloggers that inspire you the most? Feel free to send me your link or your favorites to check out. Perhaps they will make the list for 2012...

p.s. stay tuned for more countdown lists this week. xoxo

color obsession: bright pink

Lately, I've been swooning over pink, especially bold & bright pink hues. But, what girl doesn't love a good pink? Still, this newfound obsessions even inspired a recent purchase of a tulle fuschia skirt, very Gambattista Valli.

Perhaps I'll even go bold and try a solid neon pink maxi dress for New Year's Eve, too much?
I don't think so.

Glitz and Glitter

Where did 2011 go? It seems as though the last few months have slipped away. Regardless, I am becoming more and more excited to celebrate the end of the year, in style. Here is a bit of inspiration for my New Year's Eve attire.

Winter Wishlist: A PR Girl's Gift Guide

December has arrived!
And with the holiday season in full swing, I finally have an excuse to shop - and not just for myself. Since it's the season for giving, I'm committed to putting others first.

However, I still enjoy making a holiday wish list. Here are a few of the things I'd love to see under the tree:

What I've been up to lately....

crafting, spending way too much of my paycheck at Michael Kors (hello, new riding boots, sunglasses and a shiny watch) and spending time with loved ones for the holiday.
