BEAUTY BASICS: REVLON

I've learned to accept that I'll never be the girl that can go completely makeup free -- my pores are a constant struggle and I'm known to get a break out if I don't keep up my skin care routine. Although you'll rarely catch me without any makeup on, I still like to look fresh faced at all times.

With that said, I love trying out new products for my face and constantly switch up my routine based on the season. With temperatures on the rise, I've been sticking to the basics. I love the combination of a BB cream and swipe of powder for the everyday. When one of my favorite {and affordable!} brands, Revlon asked me to try their PhotoReady BB Cream, Nearly Naked Powder and Foundation, I was more than ready to get testing and try out the collection for a variety of occasions.

PhotoReady BB Cream Skin Perfector  I love BB Creams and have seriously tried them all.  Working from home, my schedule is all over the place and is usually a mix of meetings and days spent in my office. I love using a BB cream because it provides the right amount of coverage, without being too heavy - whether I'm busy answering emails from home or running to grab coffee. This one did just that and more. The 30 SPF cream offers more sun protection and kept my face shine-free. It also stayed on flawlessly all day, even after a night of cocktails on the patio. What more can you ask for?

Nearly Naked Powder Okay, I love a good powder, but sometimes it can make you look a bit chalky - if you know what I mean. So, I'm always on the hunt for something that goes on {and stays on} easily. I generally love a mineral powder, but was curious to try this new, pressed version. When I first swatched my hand with the palette, the powder looked invisible - too good to be true? I used it to finish off my face and let me tell you, this powder set my makeup perfectly.

Nearly Naked Foundation This was the last product I tried. That was, until I had a last minute styling project that required on-air time. I literally needed photo-ready makeup and thought I'd give this a try. To my surprise, the foundation is not heavy at all, but still has a nice consistency that gives smooth, even coverage. I layered it in the spots that need it more {the t-zone and cheeks} and my face still looked even. I could see this being my go-to for a few upcoming events.

Revlon believes there is more than one way for women to be seen. Revlon's heritage as a color authority and its suite of innovative products inspires women around the world to express themselves through beauty each and everyday.

  7. Would you consider making it without SPF? I find that any amount of SPF in facial lotion causes me extreme itchiness. And in discussion, I have found other people have the same reaction. Thank you.

  11. Most bb creams make my face extremely oily, more than the usual. All I want is an evened out skin tone without the shine.
